New Zealand - Christchurch International Airport Limited uses CCM System to Support NEC Contract
Management Process Systems Limited (MPS) of Cambridge today announced that their Contract Change Management (CCM) system, which supports the NEC form of contract, has been selected for the major annual pavement maintenance works project at Christchurch International Airport Limited (CIAL) in New Zealand. BECA New Zealand is the design and project management consultant, and Fulton Hogan of New Zealand and Australia are the contractors. The 12 week project involves the repair and resurfacing of airfield runways and taxiways. The contractors will lay over 15,000 tonnes of asphalt over 2 km of runways and taxiways in the process of resurfacing, patching and repairing them. more...

XCES Exhibition, Sandown Park, 2 and 3 March 2010

Merry Christmas from MPS
Management Process Systems have decided to donate to charity again this year rather than sending out hundreds of greetings cards.
Our charity of choice this year is Bracknell, Wokingham, Ascot and Districts Samaritans. Samaritans provides confidential emotional support 24/7 to those experiencing despair, distress or suicidal feelings.
The money will be going towards the current branch refurbishment project to bring the Victorian house, which the charity operates from, into the modern era.

Our charity of choice this year is the St Christopher's Fellowship service in Milton Keynes. St Christopher's is a leading voluntary provider of services for children, young people and vulnerable adults. They are the only children's charity that is also a housing association, providing a unique combination of care, accommodation, housing, education, training and support.
The money will be used for MK Changes – a service user group that work alongside the Milton Keynes team to arrange activities and projects such as gardening projects and fun days. The MPS donation will be used to contribute to the AQA unit award scheme, which allows young people to gain a qualification of independent living skills up to a grade D GCSE

The £17m Ridgmont bypass project on the A507 near Junction 13 of the M1 is being constructed by Birse Civils and is expected to be completed during spring 2008. Carillion Regional Civil Engineering will carry out the £18m Bedford Western project which is due for completion during early 2010. CAPITA SYMONDS IMPLEMENTS INNOVATIVE CCM SYSTEM ON REGENERATION PROJECT IN WALES

CASE STUDY: IMPROVING CONTRACT MANAGEMENT USING THE INTERNET
Case Study by The IT Construction Forum (Constructing Excellence). A global business providing management and consultancy services to the built and natural environment, WSP Group plc, used a web-based contract change management system (CCM) to assist with the contract management, supervision and administration of the construction of the Highways Agency’s Eastern Regional Control Centre (ERCC) at South Mimms. The CCM system greatly improved contract administration efficiency and provided the project team with remote access to the overall financial state of the contract linked to changes and compensation events on a real time basis. MANAGEMENT PROCESS SYSTEMS SPEAK ON CHANGE MANAGEMENT AT RICS
Project Management Threesixty took place on 16 and 23 May at the RICS headquarters in London. Over the two days, more than 200 members attended to hear presentations on a variety of project management topics delivered by experts in the field.
Seminars included interesting insights into the areas of project insurance, IT systems, benchmarking, scheduling, and more. Speakers had been selected from a variety of sectors and industries, sharing with the delegates their experiences in construction, social housing, commercial property, public health and pharmaceuticals.
Chairman of the Project Management Faculty, Richard Schofield, who Chaired all six sessions commented, "The event was a resounding success. Feedback received from delegates was excellent to say the least. My thanks goes to the speakers and organisers."
