CCM - CONTRACT CHANGE MANAGEMENT

The market leading solution that enables a business to embrace change and improve business performance. The application is designed to fully support users in meeting the requirements of the NEC Contract

The Internet based CCM service is designed to manage the contract change processes set out in the NEC form of contract. CCM is currently being used by an extensive range of clients around the UK, on civils, power and building projects.

The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) CCM service is delivered through an agreement with IBM for Server Managed Services. This agreement includes data centre, hardware equipment and software products, internet services, security and support services. The Systems and Infrastructure design supports an On Demand Business requirement where business processes are integrated across the enterprise and with key partners, suppliers and clients.

Key Business Improvement Benefits are:

  • Increased Productivity - From Professional Staff
  • Improved Predictability Of Outcome - Cost and Time
  • Reduced Risk - Through Better Informed Collaboration
  • Compliance - Improved Audit and Visibility
  • Facilitates - Early Completion Of Final Account

The NEC suite of contracts has now been used on thousands of projects worldwide. The latest versions of CCM and the NEC embody the principles of Sir Michael Lathams report 'Constructing the Team' and Sir John Egans report 'Rethinking Construction'.

The UK Government's National Audit Office (NAO) March 2005 report entitled 'Improving public services through better construction' singles out the NEC ECC as being 'widely used in many successful partnership arrangements in both the private and public sectors'. The Office of Government Commerce (OGC) has confirmed that NEC3 complies fully with Achieving Excellence in Construction (AEC) principles, and recommends its use on public sector construction projects. The July 2008 House of Commons Business and Enterprise Committee 'Construction Matters' report, recognised the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract as ‘setting the benchmark’ for collaborative working on projects within the UK building industry. The NEC is the best contract for avoidance of disputes, delays and extra costs.
